The Chair team delivers the full range of substantive civil law courses for students of the Faculty of Law and Administration UW — survey lectures, exercises, conversation classes, master's and doctoral seminars.
Chair members teach courses that form the foundation of legal education — in particular the survey lecture on civil law, exercises, conversation classes and specialised courses. The full list of courses is available in the USOS catalogue.
Teaching areas
General part of civil law
Sources of civil law, legal subjects, juridical acts, representation, time limits, prescription of claims.
Property law
Ownership, perpetual usufruct, limited property rights, possession, land registers and mortgages.
Obligations
General and special parts of obligations — nominate and innominate contracts, contractual and tort liability.
Succession law
Statutory and testamentary succession, reserved share, liability for inheritance debts, division of estate.
Family and guardianship law
Marriage, matrimonial property regimes, kinship, parental authority, guardianship and curatorship.
Master's and doctoral seminars
Seminars led by professors and habilitated doctors of the Chair — preparation of master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
